Episode 3: Support Services
24/7 COLTT Help Desk
The Center for Online Learning and Teaching Technology (COLTT) supports online learning tools such as Blackboard Learn, Blackboard Collaborate, Respondus Lockdown Browser, Tegrity, etc. Should you need assistance with Blackboard or any of the tools, you can contact the 24/7 COLTT Help Desk.
IT Service Desk
The Information Technology Service Desk is responsible for supporting the university’s technological infrastructure. If you require assistance with logging into myUTRGV or downloading software you can contact the IT Service Desk.
If you have questions regarding your degree plan or are planning for the upcoming semester you can contact the Academic Advising Center. Online students can complete remote advising via phone appointments and email.
If you don’t live near a UTRGV campus, the Writing Center provides Writing Consultations via Skype and an online paper review that’ll be completed within 24 to 48 hours. Students wanting to utilize these services can complete a writing consultation form on the Writing Center’s website.
While many students think of tutoring as an on-campus only service, The Learning Center provides Online Tutoring for a variety of subjects via Blackboard Collaborate. All you have to do is make an appointment via EAB Campus.
